.....christine's mission

christine's mission yesterday involved an (almost) 400 mile round trip to buy her new car.a toyota aygo... its one of these low emission small engine jobbies that the chancellor only charges you £25 a year road tax for. 1 litre engine but quite neat (a bit like a smart car only a lot more sensible). its designed to be cheap and efficient and was top gears car of the year last year! excellent. its the sport model which means you still get alloys, cd player, rev counter, electric windows ...and the dash looks rather sweet when all lit up!

just been watching harry hill's tv burp.... thought he had a bit more about him ...it would seem not....

you remember my comment about the kaiser chiefs been a comedy band well so are the arctic monkeys me thinks but not, interestingly, the streets or the killers. these cheeky local accent guitar bands are becoming as indistinguishable as dance music... but is the wider trend not away from celebrity towards anonymity. bands want to be valued for their music and not themselves. this is good me thinks ...however i'm still left with these god awful bands singing in cockney or manchurian or liverpudlian voices frankly clogging up the airwaves.... whatever happened to the good old fake american rock accent for singing your songs!!
