.......the week in review

it's been a tiring week with little blogging so i must rectify that because its been a full and enthralling if tiring week....
monday...... weight training and can't remember much else

tuesday....... trip to the head of steam to see the mighty vessels with nik ....assorted millers, stu and paul in evidence. a chance encounter with alex en route (going to see newton faulkner) and a big hug for minnis who was there with his awesome inspiring beautiful presence..... comments were passed on the first band... a fair attempt at post rock "but just you wait" i said to nik..... the second band were good musically but poor vocally "but just you wait" i said to nik.... and then vessels....... tim - relaxed and intense at the same time laying down beats that go from florid to driven through a varying range of intensities, martin - with what i can only describe as his angular bass playing effortlessly (it would seem) laying down the groove for tom - to commence laying down the first layer of sound interspersed with haunting vocals and ethereal dance moves and lee - dabbling with effervescent electronica and oceans of guitar sounds and pete - well... pete.... what can i say... my man.... intense, inspirational, focussed, lost in the rhythm, melodic and ever present. vessels - astounding.... listen here


wednesday..... jimmy two times rehearsal....... more "where have all the flowers gone", "more three", more "remember", more "harder i try", more been together as a band.... a need to be gigging again, a need to get the album finished.

thursday...... well you know about thursday.... run and a kit kat! happy days

......and tonight....very tired.... waiting for luke to come home....
