.......curry tomfoolery

a decision was taken on saturday after much deliberation to try our hand at cooking indian food rather than buying it from the take away (pizza's are about to receive the same treatment) ....so saturday was spicy kebabs (kofta) which were gorgeous and lamb in a creamy sauce (korma) which was equally fab but a bit heavy on the garlic (i know me "mr garlic" saying that!!) bought the lamb at sainsbury's where i had a brief but quaint conversation with a women with a european accent who advised me to buy the taste the difference lamb (as there was no organic) as it was beautiful, and not to overcook it, and that 2 kilos was about a pound - very useful these europeans.... of which i am one (feel the need to consider this statement at some point (british v. european ...hmmm) sunday saw more kofta (as we'd made a big batch the night before) and parsi prawn curry (kalmino patio) which was absolutely gorgeous, if a bit heavy on the garlic again - it was sharp and spicy with sweetness from al the onions it had in it.
its been an unsettling sort of weekend as it always is when i'm on call, one minute your just chillin, then you doing something with luke, then your taking a call from work, then your cooking, then your being woken from sleep to take a work call ...and on it goes.... but this morning in about an hour at 8.30 i'm done and my work phone will stop ringing.
