....it's been two weeks since my last entry!

a formal apology particularly to chris miller who rightly always complains he has nothing to read on a lunch time so in absence of my blog has had to start reading pete's! i apologise for my lack of blogging..... ok moving on.... here's a picture of me and luke with a picture of me and luke behind us! cool!!

while i am desperately trying to avoid telling you simply what has happened to me in the last two weeks i feel compelled to relate a few significant incidents.....

* while the runs i do with tony and john are never really competitive races i beat both their assess in the redcar half marathon by a good 6 or 7 minutes! my finishing time 1 hr 48 minutes

* christine brought an 80 gigaboon ipod home from work that had been lost before trying to reacquaint it with its owner so that i could rinse all the songs off it. so i am now listening to such delights as arcade fire, at the drive in, and death cab for cutie ....among others.... lots of fun! this finding of new music resulting in me connecting up my ipod to transfer some of this fun stuff for in car entertainment only to drop my ipod into my cup of tea during the process. and when desperately trying to fish it out dropping it back in as the tea was bloody hot..... it is currently drying out in the conservatory but attempts to power it back on are currently proving fruitless ....or musicless to be more precise

* hit "the wall" when running on sunday. was out for a 20 miler in preparation for the marathon and at 17 miles i just lost it. stopped for a isotonic gel and some water and then just couldn't... i mean literally couldn't put one leg in front of the other and couldn't move for fear of passing out...... on the big day at that point i would still be left with 9 miles to go! anyway got another 20 miler planned next week and maybe the week after so we'll see how i am after that

* miller's been over and the post rock song is done.... just needs a bit of mastering and then we can release it to the massess..... well the four friends we have between us.... stu's heard the early mixes and loves it miller tells me

* the playground action group plans move on and led to a rather amusing moment when i went to the exisiting site just off richmond road to take some pictures of what is there at the moment. there was a group of guys hanging out (one way cafe types - if you know what i mean - not chavs) and as i approached still in my suit from being at work removing the lens cap from my camera the sheer panic in their faces was hilarious. they were legging it at a fair rate of knots with me shouting them to come back and talk while i took photos. and they did.... and they told me what it was that 14/15 year olds would want from a park area.... but still.... they didn't want their photographs taken!!
