......the epic adventure of sir tony and sir stephen of durham

it was a sunny time, the leaves were upon the trees and a light breeze broke the sunshine of the day. clouds peppered the sky but did not venture rain forth. times were good. sir tony and sir stephen of durham had prepared well for their quest. a trilogy of challenges, the gauntlet been thrown down after many ales. their prize; the glory of achievement in the face of adversity.

and what of these quests? what was that that lay before them? physical torment at the hands of demons that had become known as "marathon", "coasttocoast", and "lykewake". but they were worthy of the challenge before them. their years upon the earth added up to 90 but their hearts were but the hearts of young pups.

sir stephen prepared to venture to a place known only as thirsk to meet sir tony at a holy place in order to make final plans for the quest. he would take with him his damsel christine and his son prince luke of nagsfold. when there they would sit and sup from the cup of ale while their damsels waited upon them bringing them tasty morsels and treats that would build their strength before their first quest.

and that quest was soon. they would need to venture north into a land of wild savages known as the scots. people of ginger hair and beards with a strange yet mystical dialect that no one could quite understand. and when there they would venture from the heart of a place named edinburgh unto a place they knew only as "the racecourse". a distance of 26.2 miles (for it had been measured many times before by many other brave questing knights) with only a strange and magical drink to sustain them known as luk-oooz-aide.

what will become of our knights tony and stephen? only time will tell. but there story will be told upon these very pages. will they endure the first quest of the three? will they earn the right to take on the second mysterious journey?
