...reflections on las vegas

.....bought me a necklace in vegas the design of which signifies "the intertwining of the heart, mind, and spirit"......nice one!

....i'm going to put together a slideshow/video of all the vegas pics and videos but for now ........shall i work backwards.....

wednesday
the flight home was arduous as long haul flights are when you are tired but ultimately it was great to get home and pick luke up from school and see christine once she'd finished at work. was exhausted and crashed early

tuesday
shopping in the miracle mile mall and caesers palace (an awesomely huge shopping mall full of gorgeous designer shops). the credit card took some hammer in the sony shop. played texas hold 'em with the boys at an electronic poker table which was a massive amount of fun... playing poker in vegas! how cool!!

monday

sunday
the blue man group... and incredible show... education and entertainment... really clever visuals and excellent percussive music... i loved it tony hated it! we had a friendly row about it and ended up having drinks and a little gamble in the bellagio! had a pamper day in the morning which consisted of a workout, a swedish massage, a facial, and a herbal wrap.... felt great!!

friday
went to a show on my own 'cos the boys were going to a night club which i didn't fancy.... zumanity was incredible with lots of scantily clad women... happy days! very funny, very clever, great acrobatics and gymnastics and a great contortionist!! wandered around new york, new york which was a great place to wander around!

thursday
turned 3 aces playing 3 card stud poker! 3 aces! won $360 for a $10 stake! walked away with the money and spent it the next day on an itouch! thank you las vegas!! thursday was the grand canyon and i've already written about that......

wednesday/tuesday are dealt with previously

overall las vegas is simply a remarkable and ridiculous place. the scale is just incredible. it's certainly a place that is great to visit even just the once. it's best on a night when the lights come on and the party starts ...and the time just flies by as you get lost in a stupor of gambling and alcohol and food (and sex if you want it). it's the city in which to indulge yourself.... cater for all your vices whatever they are. shop till you drop, gamble till you've lost all your money, drink till you have drank enough, eat until your full...... we had a phenomenal steak in a very posh steak restaurant that was the size of half a cow paying $80 for each bottle of wine! it was fabulous and decadent ....and why not!
