....vinyl, cd and dvd

...my copies of of the newly released glasvegas album have arrived in the post. the cd is on and i'm simply stroking the vinyl copy!! glasvegas are in stark contrast to most of what i've been listening to lately (vessels, oceansize, mogwai). it still feels big and expansive but in a more tangible way... it's surf, it's rock and roll, it's the finest jesus and mary chain, it's sang in a great glaswegian accent (i know i know i tend to complain about that - but it simply suits these heart wrenching songs - a sense of desperation, a sense of having lived through the hurt and pain, and emerged somewhat triumphant yet still reflective). "geraldine" is beautiful, and i'm instantly drawn to "it's my own cheating heart that makes me cry". i've waited for this for sometime and as i sat and listen it's not disappointing.

7 days to vegas (still no dollars in the post or credit card!)
exercise monday - gym session (a.m.) and 7 mile run (p.m.)
exercise tuesday - none
weight monday 103.7 kilos (16st 3) -this was after the run
weight tuesday 104.8 kilos (16st 6) -this is quite distressing (but i am not phased i can see muscles popping out in places i didn't know i had them - i'm advised to try measuring my waist/chest/biceps to note changes rather than weigh myself so will try this after vegas - for now i'm very happy with how my training is coming on!)
