.....cathedrals and students

it was a day of fresh dreams in durham with all the first year students arriving. it was a vibrant atmosphere with much cheering from the second/third years as a car arrived at their college with a brand new fresher in to impress. i love durham and all its many facets including the student aspect. we wandered aimlessly and completely relaxed. we even went to a show flat that overlooked the cathedral and were impressed at the size (for a flat) and the price. but no outside space so no can do with luke. we're not planning on selling up and down sizing just yet but it is inevitable. we could have so much more money if we reduced our mortgage. i mean, hey, we're not skint but.... there's a lot of money just sat there in bricks and mortar that we could probably put to better use. i give the cottage 5 years tops.... we want to be nearer the school for luke and we don't want such a big mortgage.... and we could achieve both of those things...... time will tell....

durham was lovely and there's a video on you tube of the pics... click the link in the bar to the right and you should find it....... it was a really sweet sunny but cold day. the sort that i love.... i love autumn... what a contrast to vegas only just over a week ago which was in the 90's all day.... i love england!
