.......two rainbows good

yesterday was the day of two rainbows (the inspiration of seeing this resulted in a new tune ...soon to be heard probably as the backdrop to a photo montage) and the day of the harvest of the chillies. and what an abundance of the variously spicy little gems from the ridiculously hot 'ickle ones to the big ones that are really just like peppers. all fabulous. we also harvested ourselves some tomatoes and some small (but perfectly formed!) carrots.

it feels like a sorting and tidying time of year. a time for sorting out all the wheat from the chaff and preparing for the winter. is this behaviour genetically programmed into us or is it just me? ....just me then!! i think it's akin to the squirrel hiding it's nuts... now.... my nuts.... where shall i put them......
