....i've made it through the wilderness somehow i made it through

.....christine has a clot .....but as the nurse pointed out it's her fault she decided to live with me so she's just going to have to put up with it!!! ...no seriously ...she has a blood cot behind her knee probably brought on by inactivity due to the broken ankle. she's in a lot of pain with it. we just put the pain down to the break but, no! it's down to the blood clot. so she's on warfarin (the active ingredient in rat poison we seem to think! and has to go to the hospital everyday until they know they've got the dose right. this is not easy for her with the broken ankle 'n' all.

...been for lunch with ann today which was lovely. for those who don't know... we were social workers on the same team but she has moved to a job in commissioning... she tried to explain what that means and what she does but it remained a mystery... to both me and her!! she'll get there... she hopes. had a great hour or so and we decided we must do it again. turns out she's lunching with several ex team memebers! huh! and i thought i was special!

....having a drink tonight ...as you know i'm in this do what i fancy when i fancy mode. and i couldn't drink last week as i was on call and usually when i end ny out of hours i have a huge drink in celebration of the fact. but i didn't this week 'cos i didn't want to. but tonight i fancied a cider or two. so having a cider or two i am having (well about to uncap my third if you want the truth)

...talked to pete today and made christmas plans. this is wonderful. already thinking of what tunes we will listen to, what food we will cook...... current attendees at our annual christmas get together remains up in the air but will be confirmed in good time ...wonderful!!
