......wet weekend

......majestic picture ...durham cathedral and the moon ....more pics of my evening walk around durham at the enlightenment festival will find their way into a video ...went down for a look around the light sculptures with jonathan, luke, chris and lynne before chris and lynne came back to ours and cooked for me 'n' christine.

....i have discovered by playing bingo on line (long story!) that 30 is flirty and 40 is naughty! excellent. going to find out what 50 is so i'm prepared..... [pause] ...it's half a century .....not so exciting ...better to be 30 or 40 me thinks

bike ride in the pouring rain today with tony was awesome. probably as close to roughing it in the amazon with bruce parry as i'm ever going to get. hands were numb, feet were cold, legs were wet and icy, but it was lots of fun. did about 18 miles with lots of tough uphill bits. this has motivated me to return back toexercise after a well earned rest ...still though ...no pressure. on call this week which means i can just hang around at home with the family, shift some weights, read a book .....oh and maybe write a little of my book ....more of that later.
