......pete's yard

it's sunday, i'm home, and i'm tired in a satisfied kind of way....
i've been to leeds, watched vessels, chilled with pete, breakfasted with j, andy, and lou, and hung out with al. all very good and all very tiring. the gig was tremendous with vessels a little loose in places but clearly having fun, I found this much more enjoyable than the last gig i saw them perform (at newcastle) where they executed everything to perfection but looked a bit unmoved by the whole thing. live music (for me anyway) is more about the performance, the entertainment, than the perfect execution of the tunes. an excellent gig, a really excellent gig.

me n al sat outside and ate pizza, we breakfasted on scrambled tofu, and finished the food delights with a snickers on the way home.

i was a bit tired and probably not drunk enough for the after show party but once i got back to pete's at about 3.30 in the morning, got my pj's on, and got me a cup of tea i could have sat all night and talked to pete.... this was the whole point of the trip really, everything else was a bonus... and it was a lovely hour spent was my lovely friend..... we then slept with the early morning sun streaming through the windows and were coaxed into the day by the warmth of the spring sun....
