......holiday chicken

we have arrived in dumfries.... and here we will stay for a little while at least.
sitting in the kitchen formatting memory cards to take an abundance of pictures of the beautiful scenery that appears around every corner, listening to beaucoup fish by underworld, and deciding not to go back outside with my shirt of today 'cos this scottish sun burns a little!

we have scoured the things to do file in the house and have found cycle tracks, castles, beaches, and walks... we're all here! jonathan as well which is great!

the couple who own and run the old schoolhouse and live in the converted school next door are lovely and their introduction has set the holiday off to a great start. waiting for the shopping to arrive with the friendly tesco delivery driver then who knows what.....
