...beautiful! happy new year...

well what of last years mantra and what for this year....

last year was "chilled, concerned, concentrated"
well... on first reflection i would say that i have significantly failed!! lol
but.... i think i have managed to be "chilled" for some of the time. work continues to be a major source of stress but at times a positive one... christmas was very very chilled and very very lovely so....6 out of 1o on the chilled front. and what of "concerned"... i think this was going to be about the environment and world conflict and i don't think i've moved forward at all here to be honest.... and "concentrated" - this was about being focussed on what matters and i think i've managed this to some degree ...i think we've done more this year as a family and i've done mor with the boys ...so on reflection not too bad...

last years missions....
* "i'm going to read the bible, well the new testament at least". - not achieved!! read a few chapters and just found it an unrequired mission. it had nothing to say to me and really in my head the christian debate is done and i have no desire to have the debate anymore really.
** "i'm going to watch the first series of "house"" - mission accomplished and more. we are about to embark on series 4! pete bought us 1 for christmas, christine bought me 2 for my birthday, i bought her 3 for her birthday, and she bouught me 4 for christmas! excellent. "we need a new series though", i said to pete and from the wrapping paper of my christmas present emerged series 1 of "the wire" mint!!
*** "i'm going to run a marathon, cycle some serious two day journeys"- well the need for a knee op ended my chances of the marathon but i still managed an epic mission cycling from edinburgh to newcastle in 2 days! that's 100 miles a day!!
**** "i'm going to dabble with veganism/vegetarianism" - i did this and it was interesting and showed me that meat is not necessary but it wasn't for me

luke has given me the letter "e"
....enthusiastic, entertaining, energetic

missions.....
....none ...this year i'm going to simply see what unfolds
but we've got

..alex and alison's wedding to dj
...twowiseguys recordings to mix and release
....ableton live to master
.....oh... and the need to keep fit and lose weight (not gonna happen is it! lol!)
