...post christmas

...we had pete and j over today for some lunch and the exchanging of christmas gifts. in a now well established tradition we received a season one box set to set us off on another journey of discovery. it all started with "house" in 2008 and was followed last year with "the wire". we have watched every available season of "house" as a consequence but have struggled with "the wire" and only got about as far as episode 6. we will re-visit this (with the subtitles on - was alex's advice). this year we received "six feet under" and were absolutely delighted as we've many a time talked about getting into this show..... we'll finish off "studio 60" (christine's birthday present from chris and lynne) and then we'll crack on with it! - that's january and february's viewing sorted).

...we also received this years "take me seriously shoes" compilation and in return pete received "circadian rhythms 2010"! ....and he also got an s.j.mordue original painting (a section of which is photographed above). this one was specifically painted for pete and is a representation of our friendship. [circles are continuous, never ending, and the orbs in the painting are spiraling into the distance, each different, equidistant, but formed from the same journey, the distance goes on for ever, the orbs exist in the past, the present and the future, they are separate and distinct but similar enough to coexist]

....next year i'm going to follow my lead of this year and create pete another present ...and taking a further lead from pete i'm going to write, film and produce a mini series, get it written to dvd, and give pete season one of my new show as a box set!
