....tron??? what's that all about then?

...today is luke's 10th birthday! flippin' heck! 10! it really is frightening how fast the years go by.... and how quickly they (think) they grow up....

...we went to the cinema.... now this seems a straight forward kind of thing to do?? well, yes, you would think. two goes on the web site to try and book tickets that failed for some reason meant there was every possibility that we had three whole rows booked. i finally booked the tickets by phone with an automated person.we turned up at the cinema and inserted the card into the machine to collect our tickets and this is where it went wrong! we didn't realise the tickets were about to be ejected from the machine one at a time requiring us to be ready for this so we could catch them! so there we are scrabbling about on the floor trying to pick up our tickets, more tickets spitting from the machine... well, we looked like rank amateurs!!

...tell you what ...the metro centre's changed a bit since i was last there in 1993! lol! we did imax 3d for tron! i have to say i'm not a massive fan of 3d. they go to all the trouble of utilising this technology on a massive screen with fabulous sound then give you a shitty pair of glasses to watch it through that have rippled plastic for lenses that you simply can't get clean ...ruined it all a bit to be fair. however, tron was fabulous, great special fx, and great music courtesy of daft punk! still left the cinema saying to the millers, (for they were there too), "what was all that about then!"

...anyway i'm off 'cos there's a new series of "larkrise to candleford" on ...i do like a good costume drama! ....bruce parry on after that ...he's cool

....mam knows about tattoo - didn't go down well despite me being a grown up 43 year old man! lol!! ;-)
