....comic red relief nose day

...watched comic relief last night.... now, let's be honest it's no fun watching it is it!? it's like a flippin rollercoaster. first of all you're confronted with some sweet comedy and music and then you get to see people in really horrific circumstances. now luke can't read the subtitles quick enough so i have to read them out to him in my wobbly nearly crying voice which makes him cry which makes christine cry.... and then we have to laugh again at the comedy!!! this does not make for a relaxing night!

...but hey we donated through the chris moyles thing.... but i just got to wondering when we were told that this was the 23rd year of comic relief.... is this really the way to do it... 'cos if we've needed this for 23 years and don't appear to have made a great deal of difference given that people in africa still seem to be in the same state as they were 23 years ago - have we actually made any difference and does the whole issue need a different approach? ...just wondering? nothing against the old comic nose day or anything...
