.....easter day 1

....and the easter break began! waited for what like seems for ever for the easter holiday, and now, here it is! rule number 1 in the mordue/hill household "on public holiday days DO NOT go anywhere as this will involve being close to other members of the great unwashed masses"! we're a bit miserable really. we like nothing more than stopping at home and just pottering about. why would i want to go somewhere when other people are there when i can go sometime else when no one (or fewer) people are there. miserable? grumpy? anti-social? yeah probably!

first job of the day was to fix the lights on the camper. i am not convinced all of the wires on display were absolutely necessary but the whole unit got changed without incident and we're all ready to go - lights 'n' all!

the rest of the day involved gardening and tidying and a general satisfying feeling of not needing to do anything but getting on and doing something. it is human nature (i feel) to want to be productive. like other animals we like to be industrious (take the ant or the bee - i know they're insects but you see my point) and it is good for the "soul" to achieve something no matter how small. i think we enjoy order and do not like chaos.

we got rid of a whole load of stuff through freegle which other people can now put to good use in their lives as we are now done with it... a bed frame, a treadmill, a kids electric quad bike... all off to other good homes....
