...ah coffee i love thee!

....you know earlier in the week i thought of something really interesting i wanted to write about it and can i hell remember what it was......

january often brings with it thoughts of new starts, of clearing out, of changing things ready for the year... and such things are going on in the mordue/hill household. luke is swapping bedrooms with me and christine to better accomodate some huge gaming chair that he wants for his driving games! he's a lucky lad! not that he thinks he is mind... new and soon to be new parents prepare yourself for doing everything for your offspring with little or no gratitude being displayed ;-)

so we've been buying paint and curtain poles etc... and the next weekends will be filled with decorating and trips to homebase and ikea no doubt... mind you i'm looking forward to it... we started out in the rooms we are about to move into so it'll all be fine and a change is as good as a rest i'm told....

the clearing out continues (or is about to start to be fair) with the physical as well. It's now not much more than 3 months until the sunderland marathon so things need to be taken seriously (10 mile run with tony sounds serious enough to me) and after my greggs splurge on friday i kinda think - why do i do this to myself! i might have to consider drinking less coffee and alcohol but seriously.... what would be the point of getting out of bed on a morning without my two favorite drugs!

i enjoy the cycle of life, the cycle of the year, the rhythm of things.... at 44 it' a well worn pathway and feels very comfortable. feeling the changing of the seasons, making plans for each that brings with it different opportunities.... the winter for films, tv, books, and chilly runs, the spring for garden tidying and golf, the summer for trips in the camper, and the autumn for retracting back into our "shells".... all good and all in it's place.

watching.. well... just finished "house season 7" last night so need to select the next box set
