...paraphernalia

....out of necessity and desire i have some new coffee paraphernalia! pictured here are my new coffee bean grinder and my stove top coffee pot. the pot is from necessity as the filter coffee machine had started to leak everywhere and has bled coffee all over christine's phone which now doesn't appear to want to work.... oh dear. the grinder is as a consequence of a desire to take my coffee consumption to the next level as a consequence of reading The Devil's Cup: Coffee, the Driving Force in History by Stewart Lee Allen. I could regale you with stories from his interesting journey exploring the origins and influences of coffee but instead you should go and buy it and furnish him with some money for his toil.... it's certainly worth the read. i might at some point tell you about coffee beans that have been through a cat's digestive tract before being ground for consumption, or the origins of the croissant.... all fascinating stuff!!
