....enthusiastic

....so it was my day off today! 10 o'clock found me at sunderland university for a seminar on how to be a principle investigator ....how to run a research team essentially. now i'm clearly not that far down the line yet but need to start somewhere and this training will give me some stuff about research and what it's all about.... now while i should have been at home chillin' i can honestly this was 2 very well spent hours as it was a one to one session to catch up with stuff i'd missed because i couldn't make the start of the course due to lectures i had to do....

....so after some discussion about research and research areas i was asked "how will you know when you have reached where you want to be regarding your research"..."well" i said, "i'll know because i'll be sat on the sofa on bbc breakfast news to talk about the new research i've just concluded into some aspect of dementia having just been to briefed the prime minister".... "good answer" he said!

so 10 year research plan coming up and let's see if i can make it!!

we've got the millers over all weekend for our pre christmas christmas. sunday will be our christmas day with all sorts of christmas related music, films, and games and a proper relaxing time - the first christmas weekend away (albeit at home this year) with the miller twins! very exciting! so not content with roasting one bird to eat we have our traditional four bird roast from aldi! lovely!
