...the end of the weekend adventure
....as i sit down to tell you of my weekend adventure "there's a hole in my heart where the rainbow should be" by none other than 2wiseguys comes on.... can't believe how far the original has moved away from the original demo version..... i love both versions equally!
anyway.... i think you're up to speed from previos entries on pete's 'quefting' gig at the british wildlife festival on friday night and me waking up at pete's and sitting drinking coffee in his conservatory...
later on the saturday was peg's naming ceremony. the feeling i'm left with after being at the proceedings is how many beautiful and creative people peg will be surrounded by... there were poems and prose and shades of a tamal naming ceremony - all very beautiful. it was good to catch up with assorted people at the intersection of mine and pete's lives... hello to you all and it was all good craic.
we headed home and, after what felt the shortest of drives, we settled down in the family nest with home made pizza... a lovely weekend.... but hey! it just kept getting better!
sunday saw jonathan arrive (well i went to get him) and we embarked on rearranging the studio to provide a sitting area for luke's myriad of consoles and mid way through the millers arrived for sunday lunch. matthew and james were delightful as ever... mind you not that i saw them as much as i could of because the reconfig of the studio beckoned and miller snr was of immense help as by now jonathan and luke were thoroughly bored with the affair!
so a weekend of friends and reorganisation finished off with a 7.2 mile run with tony and a sound nights sleep.
flenging! as pete would say!
