day 1 of 18 ...my spring break
today has been spent recovering from a late night out as two wiseguys with many wiseguys in tow watching us play. we were at lola jeans, a lovely bar in the affluent tynemouth! it will be a good night we though as we pitched up. we'd picked last night out of the available dates because we thought - good night - loads of people out with it being bank holiday weekend... and yes! there were loads out. despite the pa at full blast the noise of the bar dominated. but the throng that gathered around the 'stage' area to watch us play our acoustic pop were with us every step of the way and it turned out to be a great late night. me and jonathan rolled in at about 12.30. jonathan came along to take photographs and had a blast although looked knackered for most of the night. he revived once dad was doing his stuff!
so, we've chilled today. bread has been baked and eaten, pizza dough is nearly ready for.. well.. pizzas, i've ran, done some band admin, and am now settled down with a very cheeky cider. it will not be my last. called in on paul and amy and paul tells me i'm looking good. at the time he was sat at a sewing machine running a few stitches. i'm not worried ;-) and i appreciate the acknowledgment of all the hard work i've put in in the exercise/weight loss regime. good job paul!
and this is just day 1 of 18 of my spring break... good!
