...its all in a name

....as everyone's thoughts are diverted to what will the name of the new royal baby be (you can't escape it!) my attention is diverted towards the name of my very very good friend of many many years lyn. lyne works for groundforce and has two children mark and john bob. she is married to kris and lives in blackhall. lynn is a lovely person, caring, compassionate, considerate. linn is the salt of the earth and a one of my bezzie friends in the whole wide world. yet.... yesterday she complained that i spelt her name wrong in my blog....... oooops. now lynne! come on! simple mistake! why the hell are there so many ways to spell the same name! it's just ridiculous! i'm going to start a face book campaign to come up with one world wide way to spell each name!

yesterday was my day off - but work today! well working from home so don't feel too much sympathy please..... i did some work yesterday though - tidying up computer files and folders and emails. i then ended up in starbucks in durham with my old moleskine diary and my new moleskine diary and spent a few hours (yes!) transferring into the new one ready for next semester - drinking coffee, eating cake, and trying out one of their cool fruit drinks. it was like a solero ice lolly in a cup - lovely!
