....back and live again

....back at the blog
....back from latitude

sometimes it's useful to do things infrequently - drugs possibly, jumping out of aeroplanes etc etc - because when you do something infrequently you get to see what's changed. take my annual trip to latitude. it involves a significant measure of time sat on the floor in a tent trying to be comfortable for, sometimes, not inconsiderable lengths of time. this in the past for me has been a great problem due to my lack of stretchy-ness and suppleness. i've been stretching on a morning fairly consistently for the last 6 months or so (and prior to that on and off) and i have to say while still somewhat uncomfortable i could sit, sat upright, on the floor, for good periods of time. cross legged (ish), straight legged. now last year i would have had to sit side on or leaning back on my arms - nowhere near as comfortable. so..... with the distance of a year i see that i have made progress all be it a small amount, so, the daily stretching has paid off. the problem, you see, is when something takes time you don't see the changes when you look for them on a daily basis.... you need to bench mark them over a longer period.

see you thought i was going to tell you about the exciting music and art at latitude - well that fooled you.... might do that tomorrow

the extra stretchy stephen is brought to you courtesy of yoga moves and tuesday night stretch and tone.... i thank you!
