...and in other news!

....my hair is getting longer! it's very curly! i'm seeing how it goes! you may want to tell me.... or i may not want you too! ;-0

The thing that's struck me this week is how much effort you have to put in... how much you have to just keep going ....and then something happens....

I've been engaging in more exercise than my body is happy with. It screams to me Stephen! What are you doing to me! Not another run! I've been having personal trainer sessions, going to spinning, running park run, stretching, running before and after spinning, cycling.... and while I absolutely do feel fit and well I didn't feel as though I was moving up a gear, moving up the league table, getting my eye on a promotion place (I could keep going...) but then this week! Suddenly on Monday when I set off to run to spinning I thought - now this feels different! Then at park run - I clocked a time of 26 minutes... now that's not my best but I ran the first lap with my good running buddy Tony who is working back to fitness after an operation - so the first mile was 9 minutes but the subsequent two were about 7.30 to 7.40. So if I can run the first mile at the same pace and then keep it up I'd be down to about 24 minutes 30 seconds! Now that is progress!

So, the early morning and then muscle soreness does pay off!
Failure is not an option! (As I'm fond of saying!)
