Transformation
It’s amazing what a difference a few changes either for the positive or negative can make on your well being. A busy December at work meant I wasn’t running as much and my diet went a bit to pot and this left me feeling light headed, blood pressure up and with palpitations. Add into this the Christmas indulgence and I felt ill! But it creeps up on you doesn’t it!? It’s a few days without a run then it’s a week. It’s a muffin the afternoon and then it’s two muffins a day and then it’s ‘oh what the hell! Let’s eat!’
But fortunately it works in the other direction too! Running almost daily, laying off the alcohol, getting back to the usual diet and hey presto! No more 10, 11 or 12 minutes miles when I’m running but back to my 9ish minute mile pace! The body is truly a remarkable thing! .....when looked after!
