Oh neglected wilderness!

Oh neglected wilderness I stumble across thee and feel a pang of nostalgia. How I have missed thee. How I long to reconnect. How I long to tell you of how I am. There is contentment in sharing. Putting into words the position I find myself in, the thoughts I am exploring, and the life I am living. I feel I need to embrace thee and tell you of my travels, for my travels have been good. I will share again. I will impart my story. I will begin.

I've just checked back and I started writing here just over 11 years ago - a diary for myself just as much as anything - and have done so one and off since then. More off than on lately and that must change. When you look back there's a great sense of your heritage. We are the product of our past to some extent. Although we have the capacity to change that product and shape ourselves into our future selves.

There's a beard upon my face. I'm convinced that now I have developed one upon my visage they will now become completely uncool. That's how it works for me. Just as I was in the cusp of buying a pair of Le Breve's (they still exist - I've just checked) they slipped out of teenage conscious (I'm harking back to the 80's here). Just as I was discovering GAP it became old hat. So, just as I've discovered facial hair all of the young hipsters will shave it off, of that I am certain!
