and so the year begins

Day 1 saw me mostly at home. We had a brief jaunt over the road to the shops as some crucial purchases were required. Luke is back to work today so we needed things for his lunch and I needed jogging pants, running leggings, walking gloves, and walking sock... and purchased in the sales - gotta be good. One of the important things I find is having the right stuff... makes doing things much more enjoyable. I'm not a gear junkie but I do think 'get the thing that makes the task more effective and more enjoyable'. Job done.

We had salmon with dauphinoise potatoes and sprouts with horse chestnuts - lush. I think we're nearly through all of the Christmas indulgences. Which have been nice and far less that previous years. A few bits left but we'll use them up. Well, except almost the whole Christmas cake as usual. Just a little but from time to time I reckon will see it gone by about August!

Still in some discomfort with my infected tooth but the antibiotics will be doing their stuff! I do hope so - not sleeping well.... snoozes are in order to day!
